Prince (Vistula)
The prince on the Vistula was a regional ruler in south-eastern Poland in the 9th century.
A conversation between the Moravian missionary and Archbishop Methodios and a “very strong pagan prince on the Vistula”, in which the latter was likely to be converted, is recorded for around 880/890 . His name was not mentioned. At that time he ruled over an area on the upper Vistula, probably around Krakow . This obviously belonged to the Moravian Empire .
