Prince of Tingry

The French title Prince of Tingry ( Prince de Tingry ) was created in 1587 for François de Luxembourg , who had already been made Duke of Piney in 1576 . The title referred to the place Tingry in what is now the Pas-de-Calais department .

The title passed through the granddaughter of the first prince to the Clermont-Tonnerre family and finally to the Montmorency family . The title expired in 1878 with the 10th prince.
