FA Rauner was one of the largest harmonica and accordion manufacturers in Klingenthal . The company was founded in 1864. In the mid-1920s it was a stock corporation and in 1929, in the wake of the global economic crisis , it formed the head of Rauner- Seydel - Böhm -AG , which dissolved in 1933 for lack of success. In the mid / late 1930s, the company described itself in its catalogs as the second largest harmonica factory in the world . In 1946, the owners of the company were expropriated by a referendum on the expropriation of the Nazi and war criminals without compensation . The factory became the nucleus of the VEB Klingenthaler Harmonikawerke . Today the company is only recognizable in model names such as world champion accordions .
