history
The Swiss football club FC Uster was founded on July 18, 1909 by 16 young men in the tavern at the "Krone" as the football club FC FORTUNA USTER. On August 31, 1913, the name of the club was changed to FC Uster. The club now has three active teams and its own junior division.
In the 1943/44 season, the first team rose to the top amateur class (first division) for the first time. In the 2003/04 season, the team was able to advance directly to the 2nd league interregionally and qualify for the main Swiss Cup , in which they later failed against FC Wolhusen (2-1). In the club's history, FC has won the Züri Leu challenge cup three times .
In the 2011/12 season, the first team under coach Bruno Schyrr rose again to the second interregional league. The team will play in Group 6 in the 2015/16 season.
Buchholz sports facility
The Buchholz sports complex includes two grass pitches and one artificial turf pitch. The Buchholz stadium , built in 1976 , with a capacity of 7,000 seats (including 2,000 seats), is the home stadium for the first team.
Heusser-Staub-Wiese
The sports facility on the Hinterenwiesen has been the home of FC Uster since time immemorial. The club's own cloakrooms and the clubhouse "Tschutteria" are located here. The Heusser-Staub-Wiese is mostly used today by juniors and veterans / senior citizens.
