FC VSK VŠB TU Ostrava is a Czech futsal club from Ostrava .

Club history

In 1996 a futsal club was founded at the University of VŠB TU Ostrava . In the first year, the team rose to the third-class Divize. In the 1998/99 season, the team took second place. This placement was enough for promotion to the 2nd division because the first-placed IFTC Ostrava B waived his right to promotion.

Two years later, the students were promoted to the first division, from which the team had to be relegated immediately. VŠB TU Ostrava was able to rise again in the 2005/06 season. In the 2006/07 season, the team reached the play-offs for the first time in history, which the team narrowly missed in 2007/08 in ninth place. In the 2008/09 season the team finished 12th and last and was relegated from the 1st division.
