Expert advisor for financial services

The specialist advisor for financial services is a financial advancement training course , which concludes with an examination at a chamber of industry and commerce .

Basics

The qualification as a specialist in financial services is designed for private customer-oriented financial advice. In terms of content, it corresponds to the basic part of the specialist in financial advice . The revised framework plan published by the DIHK in 2004 has a scope of 370 teaching hours. The examining committees of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry independently determine the regulations for examination admission and examination. A national training regulation came into force on August 1, 2012. The written exam is taken nationwide on two exam days.

Contents of the exam

The 120-minute written written examinations consist of the following subjects:

  • Organization and control of your own sales activities
  • Advice to private clients on financial and asset investments
  • Advice to private clients on real estate and financing
  • Advice to private clients to protect against personal, property and financial risks

Furthermore, after successfully passing the written exams, the subject becomes an oral exam

  • Customer advice and work organization

checked in a simulated consultation.

With the entry into force of the new federal regulation, the structure of the examination has changed fundamentally.

Recognition within the framework of insurance brokerage law

According to the Insurance Brokerage Ordinance , the qualification as a specialist advisor for financial services is valid as proof of competence for insurance brokers if they have at least two years of professional experience. With previous commercial training, the necessary professional experience is reduced to one year.
