St. Johann was built in 1911 on the eastern edge of Niendorf directly on the Baltic Sea coast on the Bay of Lübeck . Children were taken in for recreation . From 1938 to 1948 the house was a military hospital . Until 1981 the house served again as a children's rest home. Then followed the reorientation towards mother-child measures. After the renovation, mothers with babies and toddlers were the main focus.

The "Villa Oceana" was acquired in 1913 and renamed "Antoniushaus". The house was used for maternal convalescence cures. Cures for children were also offered later. In 2004 an extension took place.

The two houses were merged in January 2006. They are recognized as a specialist clinic.
