Skilled worker visa (Australia)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Australian Skilled Worker Visa is an Australian skilled worker visa to resolve a shortage of skilled workers .

Visa types

There are several skilled worker visas for Australia , including the General Skilled Migration Program, Employer Nomination Scheme, Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme and the SC 457 visa.

General Skilled Migration Program

The GSM program is an employer-independent visa. People who have a job they are looking for in Australia can apply for one. If the profession is on the SOL, you can either apply for an independent visa or seek sponsorship from an Australian state.

Employer Nomination Scheme

The ENS contains perpetual visas which require the nomination of a full-time position by an Australian employer. Here, too, the job to be filled must be on a list of the jobs sought.

Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme

The RSMS visa can be issued if one is nominated by a regional employer for a permanent full-time position. A list of the postcode areas covered by this visa can be found on the homepage of the Department of Immigration and Citizenship .

SC 457 visa

This visa enables companies to bring skilled workers to Australia from abroad. The work experience of the employee to be sponsored must allow the vacancy to be filled. This visa is limited to 4 years.
