Specialist for surgical positioning
An expert for surgery bearings (alternatively: nurse for surgery bearings , former Job Title: Storage Pfleger) refers to a caregiver who in a surgical department is responsible for the proper storage of the patient for surgery. This position is known as the surgical position . In addition, the nurse is responsible for patient observation , the selection of the appropriate care and storage aids , disinfection , preparation and positioning of the operating area as well as the operation of various devices such as x-rays , lasers, tourniquets , light sources, HF surgery and shavers as well as other devices . Other tasks also include monitoring and adhering to the OP plan and the care documentation .
This training is offered in Switzerland , and nurses are increasingly being trained for this area.
