In 2012 the school was nominated for the Austrian School Prize. It is also recognized as an expert school within the framework of the eEducation Austria initiative of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education. There are 130 “happiness schools” in Styria, 17 of which are certified, including the Caritas technical school for economic professions with the subject of happiness as a mandatory part of the curriculum.
