Specialist rental

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A specialist rental (also: shelf rental ) refers to a retail shop in which sales areas are rented out for a limited time. The sales areas can be individual compartments, clothes rails, hangers, tables, shelves or the shop window. Specialist leasing companies rent their sales areas to both private individuals and businesses.

concept

As a rule, the tenants choose the sales area and decorate it themselves. Personalized advertising in the form of business cards and flyers is welcome. The specialist rental staff then takes over the sale of the goods. The tenant will be notified if the sale is successful and will receive a statement.

Each specialist rental company determines the conditions for its tenants itself. There are three rental models:

  • The tenant pays a monthly rent and receives 100% of the sales proceeds.
  • The tenant pays no monthly rent, but pays a commission depending on the sales proceeds.
  • The tenant pays a monthly rent and pays a commission depending on the sales proceeds.

Alignment

The range includes both new and used goods. Some specialist rental companies see themselves as a mix of flea market and creative market . Some others specialize in homemade products. Concepts are increasingly coming to the fore in which the principle of specialist leasing is integrated in cafés, bookstores and pop-up shops .

Specialist rental for home-made items

In the do-it-yourself scene, specialist rentals are an alternative to online marketplaces. Products are handcrafted and offered in the rented sales areas.

Specialist rental for used goods

The concept is primarily aimed at private individuals who want to sell everyday items from their private households.
