Fahrpause was a traffic magazine on television in the GDR .

In the magazine Fahrpause , the moderators Paul Friedrichs , who was announced as multiple motocross world champion with the title Honored Master of Sport , and Alfred Kocerke gave tips and advice on correct behavior in traffic . The content of the program covered all areas of road traffic, so there were topics such as "Preparing for winter traffic", "Road conditions", "First aid in traffic accidents" or "Light and shadow on the weekend and vacation trip".

The program was initially shown on Saturdays in the evening program of the second program, from 1972 the magazine was moved to Monday and the first program. The last episode aired on December 6, 1973.

Fahrpause was conceived as an accompanying magazine to the series Verkehrskompaß , which was launched in January 1969 .
