Falcini

The Falcini are a family of merchants from Lucerne who come from the Domodossola - Intra region. In 1763 the family got the citizenship of Lucerne. The Falcini were active in the southern trade and in commission and forwarding business from the 1720s . In 1761, a silk publisher was established in Engelbergertal , which had a monopoly on silk combing. Falcini thus developed into Lucerne's most important textile company in the 18th century. In 1813 Seidenverlag went bankrupt and the trading and shipping business was shifted to banking : Falcini Jünger & Co.
