Falk Heinrichs (born November 29, 1960 in Siegen ) is a German SPD politician and was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia from 2012 to 2017 .

Live and act

Heinrichs grew up as the oldest of three children in Burbach-Wahlbach . He is the son of a housewife and a locksmith. His father worked for the machine manufacturer Zenith in Neunkirchen, where he was also chairman of the works council for nine years.

Heinrichs was drafted into basic military service in 1980. He later became a contract and then a professional soldier. In the Bundeswehr he was a paratrooper, security platoon leader, lecture hall manager at the Luftwaffe's NCO school, stationer in the Air Force Office, examiner at the officer applicant examination center and military service advisor in the Siegen-Wittgenstein and Olpe districts. Most recently Heinrichs was on the staff of an operational command area in Erndtebrück. To this end, he completed an apprenticeship as an administrative assistant at the South Westphalian study institute for municipal administration in Hagen.

Heinrichs has been a member of the SPD since 1999 . He has been involved in local politics in Burbach for many years: initially as a knowledgeable citizen, chairman of the local SPD association, and since 2003 he has been the chairman of the social democrats in Burbach as chairman of the local association. He was a council member for more than ten years and resigned his council mandate at his own request in 2014. From 2009 to 2014 Heinrichs was chairman of the committee for school, culture, sport and social affairs in Burbach. Since 2004 he has been a member of the executive committee of the SPD sub-district Siegen-Wittgenstein.

In May 2009, the SPD had nominated him as a candidate for district administration, and in 2010 Heinrichs ran for the first time for the state parliament. On May 13, 2012 he was directly elected to the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament after running again. He was the representative of the SPD parliamentary group for Bundeswehr matters. In the state election on May 14, 2017, Heinrichs was no longer elected to the state parliament.

In October 2014 Heinrichs was elected chairman of the Siegen-Wittgenstein district association of the Social Democratic Community for Local Politics (SGK). He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the Keppel High School.

On October 23, 2017 Heinrichs was also elected to the board of the Kreis-Sport-Bund Siegen-Wittgenstein. There he acts as an assessor for health and the environment.

Heinrichs is a member of the state board of the Reichsbanner Schwarz-Rot-Gold NRW and has been chairman of the Children's Home Association since June 2018
