The Falu Fotbollklubb is a Swedish football club from the province County Dalarna lying central Swedish town of Falun .
history
Falu FK was founded on February 27, 2006 as a collaboration between the football departments of Falu BS , Slätta SK and Korsnäs IF . The men's teams of the first two clubs were merged in September of that year. Korsnäs IF kept its independence, Falu BS and Slätta SK only work with youngsters in the soccer field.
The newly founded club took over the place of the multiple second division team Falu BS in the third division 1 Norra . As a table ninth, the team placed in their first season in the midfield of the league in 2007, in the following year as the bottom of the table, relegation was missed.
