Family Affair (Engl., "One True Thing") is an R & B - Song of Mary J. Blige in 2001. It was developed by Dr. Dre produced and released as the first single from Blige's fifth album No More Drama .

background

The music for Family Affair was created during a discussion between Dr. Dre and the musicians Mel-Man , Camara Kambon and Mike Elizondo . Blige later heard the song and then worked with her brother Bruce Miller on the lyrics and the melody for the song. Dr. Dre produced Blige's vocals while he was filming Training Day . The music video was directed by Dave Meyers.

Charts

The single peaked at number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for six weeks in 2001 . It was Blige's first number one hit in the United States . In 2008, Family Affair was ranked 79th on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles of All Time. At the end of 2009, the song reached the 12th place on the Billboard Hot 100 song list from 2000 to 2009.
