David Delano Glover

David Delano Glover (born January 18, 1868 in Prattsville , Grant County , Arkansas , † April 5, 1952 in Malvern , Arkansas) was an American politician . Between 1929 and 1935 he represented the sixth constituency of the state of Arkansas in the US House of Representatives .

Career

David Glover attended Prattsville and Sheridan public schools . In 1886 he graduated from Sheridan High School . In the years that followed, he was employed in Agriculture, Commerce and Teaching in Hot Spring County until 1908 . After studying law and being admitted to the bar in 1910, he began working in his new profession in Malvern.

Glover was a member of the Democratic Party . He was elected to the Arkansas House of Representatives in 1909 and 1911 . He was also a delegate to some local Democratic party conventions. Between 1913 and 1917, Glover was a district attorney in Arkansas 7th District. In 1928 he was elected to the US House of Representatives in Washington in the sixth district of the state . There he replaced James B. Reed on March 4, 1929 . After two re-elections, he was able to complete a total of three legislative terms in Congress between March 4, 1929 and January 3, 1935 .

In 1934 he was no longer nominated by his party for another term. After leaving Congress, Glover retired from politics and returned to practice as a lawyer until his death in 1952.
