Hans-Joachim Beyer

Hans-Joachim Beyer (born August 17, 1940 in Leipzig ) is a German opera, operetta, musical, lied and oratorio singer with a bass-baritone voice , later a lyrical baritone and professor of singing.

Life

Hans-Joachim Beyer grew up in a music-loving family. After completing his school education, he learned the profession of photographer. He then studied vocal pedagogy and singing with Heinrich Berzog and Helga Forner at the University of Music and Theater in Leipzig . This was followed by engagements at the music theaters of Görlitz, Altenburg and Leipzig.

In 1985 Hans-Joachim Beyer received a teaching position at the University of Music and Theater in Leipzig. There he was appointed senior assistant three years later and professor for singing in 1992. Matthias Goerne is one of his students . Today he teaches singing at the Leopold Mozart Center in Augsburg .

Hans-Joachim Beyer gives master classes at home and abroad. He was also a juror at national and international competitions, for example at the International Music Festival Stuttgart 2004 and the International Bach Academy Stuttgart 2005.

Hans-Joachim Beyer appears on the radio, on television, and in song and oratorio concerts.
