Edward A. Warren

Edward Allen Warren (born May 2, 1818 in Eutaw , Alabama , † July 2, 1875 in Prescott , Arkansas ) was an American politician . Between 1853 and 1855 and between 1857 and 1859 he represented the second constituency of the state of Arkansas in the US House of Representatives .

Career

Edward Warren studied law after elementary school and was admitted to the bar in 1843. He then began working in his new profession in Clinton , Hinds County , Mississippi . Warren became a member of the Democratic Party and was a member of the Mississippi House of Representatives from 1845 to 1846 . In 1847 he moved to Camden , Arkansas, where he also worked as a lawyer. He was also politically active in his new home. Between 1848 and 1849 he was a member of the Arkansas House of Representatives ; In 1849 he served as its president. After serving on that panel, Warren served as a judge in the Arkansas Sixth Judicial District.

In 1852 Warren was elected to the US House of Representatives in Washington in the then newly created second district of Arkansas . There he was able to complete a legislative period between March 4, 1853 and March 3, 1855. In the elections of 1854 he was defeated by Albert Rust, another democrat, but he was defeated again in the next election two years later. This allowed Warren to spend another term in Congress between March 4, 1857 and March 3, 1859 . After his tenure in Congress, Warren returned to practice as a lawyer. Politically, he no longer appeared.
