The fanga was a Portuguese grain measure .

The dimensions in Porto and Lisbon were about 1 to 1.2626. In practice, 79 ¼ per 100 fish were counted in Lisbon. On the Azores island of São Miguel, for example, 100 catches were set against 86,556 in Lisbon and against 68,594 in Porto. The 100 fangas were 47.92 hectoliters . A comparable measure of grain is the exeque .
