Fatburger is an American fast food restaurant chain whose main product, a cooked meat preparation , bears the same name. The chain advertises with the slogan The Last Great Hamburger Stand . Even though these are fast food restaurants, the food is freshly prepared. Usually the guest pays when ordering and receives a number with which he can pick up the meal. In some restaurants, food is also delivered to the table.
The former professional basketball player Magic Johnson was one of the partners in the parent company until 2003.

The company was founded in 1952 by Lovie Yancey in Los Angeles , California . The chain was only based in California for a long time until it spread to other US states in the late 1990s. The aim is to expand to 200 restaurants.
