The Fatih Mosque ( Turkish Fatih Camii , German  Conqueror Mosque ) is a mosque in Werl .

history

The mosque was built in 1989 for around 1.5 million DM , it has a 16.5 meter high minaret . The dome is 10 m high. The usable area is about 404 m² including the annex built in 2005 with administration and functional rooms. When it was inaugurated in 1990, it was the first mosque in Germany with a minaret. The right to call to prayer from the minaret is waived.

Features include a mihrab prayer niche and a pulpit minbar .

The Fatih Mosque in Werl is part of the DİTİB Association.
