Ignaz Hinterleithner

Ignaz Hinterleithner (born August 18, 1898 in Traun ; † November 1, 1973 in Lambach ) was an Austrian writer , educator and politician (SPÖ).

Life

Hinterleithner visited after the elementary school the Stiftsgymnasium Wilhering and was at the teacher training college in Linz designed for teachers. He was initially a public school teacher in Mauthausen from 1922 to 1934 . In 1934 he became a secondary school teacher and in 1945 principal school director in Lambach.

politics

In Mauthausen, Hinterleithner was on the local council from 1924 to 1934. In 1934 he was in political custody for several months. In Lambach he was mayor from 1945 to 1946 and 1949 to 1965 , in between he was deputy mayor. From 1945 to 1954 he was also an Austrian member of the National Council . In the SPÖ , he was also involved at the district and state level.
