Fatou Ceesay (politician)

Fatou Ceesay ( Fatoumat (t) a Ceesay , also Fatoumat (t) a Sise , born Sagnia / Sanyang , died on June 4, 2014 ) was a Gambian politician.

Life

Ceesay was married to Sainey Ceesay ( Seni Sise , 1931-2014). Their only son and politician Ousman Koro Ceesay (approx. 1962–1995) and his younger sister Ya Bajen Ceesay Jaiteh are among their children . Her husband was also married to Abbie Sise , an insurance clerk .

Like her husband, Fatou Ceesay worked as a teacher in various parts of the country. She later worked in the public service before she was nominated to the Gambian parliament from 1992 to 1994 .

Ceesay died 40 days after her husband's death in 2014.
