history
The musicians "Nostaun" and Dylan Taylor founded Fecund Betrayal in Salem , Illinois . After taking up their first promotional activities as Fecund Betrayal in April 2012 , both released their debut album on Metallic Media with Depths that Buried the Sea in October of the same year . The album was received on average. The conceptual focus on the Cthulhu myth was praised , which is reflected in the texts written by Taylor, the design of the album and the entire self-portrayal of the band. On the other hand, it was criticized that the project had “the right idea”, but the product was still unfinished, recorded and mixed , but with more time and work the band could create “something more worth hearing”. Contrary to this review written for the webzine Metalcrypt, the album for Hatred Means War was praised as "very good sounding Atmospheric Funeral Doom" and recommended to fans of the genre.
