Federal Correctional Complex, Butner is a US federal prison in the city of Butner, in Granville County in northern North Carolina .
Institutions
The complex has four institutions:
- FMC Butner , a federal prison for male prisoners at all security levels.
- FCI Butner Medium , medium security level.
- FCI Butner Medium II , medium security level.
- FCI Butner Low , low security level.
Butner has the largest medical and psychological complex of any US federal prison.
It has two therapy programs for drug addicts.
