External spring button

An outer spring probe is provided as external buttons , a tester of the metal working of steel . It serves as a measuring tool for hard-to-reach outer diameters and wall thicknesses.

External spring probes are also used in wood processing and are used to check the accuracy of, for example, turned workpieces.
