Federico Andahazi (* 1963 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine author and psychologist .

In 1996 Andahazi became known through a scandal: a jury awarded him a literary prize, but the donor of the prize, Doña Amalia Fortabat, an elderly and morally disturbed woman, revoked the prize. Nevertheless, the Planeta publishing house took an interest in the work and shortly afterwards it became a great success. Andahazi creates a mixture of historical and erotic novels with an intertextuality that can be read in the context of the Argentinean fantasy.

In 2006 he was awarded the Premio Planeta Argentina for El conquistador .
