Federico Galera Díez

Federico Galera Díez (born February 11, 1978 in Madrid ) is a Spanish ski mountaineer and mountain runner .

Galera started ski mountaineering in 1996 and competed in his first competition that same year. From 1998 he was a member of the Spanish national ski mountaineering team . As a Espoir, he already achieved two European championship titles, was Spanish champion and Spain Cup winner. In the men's category he was a three-time Spain Cup winner and won the Spanish championship four times. At the World Ski Mountaineering Championships in 2006 , he achieved sixth place in the relay disciplines with Javier Martín de Villa , Manuel Pérez Brunicardi and Agustí Roc Amador . In the same year he won the Cross Alpino del Telégrafo in the mountain run .

His brother Carlos is also an active ski mountaineer.
