Fine strain measurement

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The fine strain measurement is a method of material testing . For determining elastic material properties are on an electronic tensile tester at stepwise loading force, elongation and strain at a test bar is measured and recorded continuously. The force is measured by a force transducer located in the tearing machine , the change in length of the sample with a displacement transducer and the longitudinal and transverse expansion of the sample with strain gauges. The load is only applied in the elastic area.
