The Feldkirchen bathing lakes include five quarry ponds in the Upper Austrian municipality of Feldkirchen , which are fed by the nearby Danube via the groundwater . They have been publicly accessible as recreational facilities since 1973 and are looked after by the Province of Upper Austria. They have a total area of ​​630,000 m².

Leisure area and redevelopment

There are several leisure activities available on the year-round facility, including swimming (including a nudist area), fishing, surfing , water skiing and diving. There is a campsite next to the bathing area .

For the renovation of the bathing lakes carried out in 2005, the contracted company bought the suction dredger "Andrea Doria". In 2006, the wakeboard world championship was held on the leisure area and a motor skills park was set up in 2007 on the initiative of the state of Upper Austria.

The bathing lakes I, II and IV are monitored on weekends during the bathing season by the Upper Austrian Water Rescue Service, Feldkirchen branch. In addition, a medical team from the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund Gruppe Feldkirchen is on site.
