The Feldmusik Strättligen , also known colloquially as Strättlig-Musig , is based in the city of Thun and is a brass orchestra organized as an association . As such, it is part of the cultural and recreational offer of the Thun region.

history

Feldmusik Strättligen was founded in 1881. At that time Strättligen was still an independent municipality , the incorporation into Thun took place in 1920. In 1919 the field music Strättligen joined the Bernese Oberland Music Association, in 1921 the Cantonal and the Federal Music Association. In 1965 the band was broadcast for the first time on the radio and in 1972 for the first time on television . In 1981 and 1984 it released a long-playing record . In 2006 the association celebrated its 125th anniversary and released the CD Musik ist Trumpf . In 2013 a separate rehearsal room was opened, which was built in an unused part of an old farmhouse. In 2019 Feldmusik Strättligen was involved in the organization of the cantonal music festival, which took place in Thun that year.
