Rim upswing

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Felgaufschwung (also: rim upswing or Hüftaufschwung ) is on uneven bars and horizontal bar gymnastics. Both hands are on the bar at hip width. You push off the ground with both feet, keep your arms bent and pull yourself into the support in a kind of backflip .

The name comes from "Turnvater" Friedrich Ludwig Jahn . He called the “rim” the gymnastics exercise on the horizontal bar, in which the feet give the momentum like a wheel rim.
