Felix M. Lartey

Felix Michael Lartey (* in the 20th century) is a Ghanaian judge , he was Chief Justice in Gambia .

Life

Lartey (write variant Felix Larty ) was Chief Justice ( English Chief Justice ) of Gambia 1999-2001.

During this time he was chairman of the commission of inquiry ( Commission of Inquiry into Public Disturbances of 10th and 11th April 2000 ), which investigated the student protests of April 10 and 11, 2000 from the end of May 2000, in which 14 people were killed. The commission also included: Joseph H. Joof , Rev. Titus Awotwi Pratt , JMB Abraham, Bai Ndongo Faal , Aja Ndey Kumba Sosseh, Alh. Momodou Ousman Njie, Alh. Ousman Jah , Kebba B. Sarr, Senior Attorney Joseph Wowo, and Attorney Almami Taal . The report of the commission, which ended its work in August 2000, was only made available to the public in 2018.

From October 15, 2004 to April 2005, he served as a judge at the Supreme Court of Ghana .
