Felix Oehme

Felix Oehme (born June 28, 1981 ) is a German sailor .

Sporting successes

At the end of 2006, Oehme sailed across the Atlantic with a crew of five and received the 2nd prize from the Deep Sea Sailing Foundation for this achievement. In September 2006 and 2008 he successfully represented Germany in the World University Championship Match Race. He also made it into the top five in several international races in the 49er class - including the German championship.

In 2008/2009 Oehme and his skipper Boris Herrmann won two stages of the Portimão Global Ocean Race with the Beluga Offshore Sailing Team - a regatta in five stages around the world for boats of the 40 class (1st stage: Portimão, Portugal - Cape Town, South Africa, start: October 12, 2008, arrival: November 16, 2008; 2 stage: Cape Town - Wellington, New Zealand, start: December 14, 2008, arrival: January 15, 2009). For the first time after the Whitbread Round the World Race in 1989/1990, a German professional team on a German ship achieved a stage victory in an international ocean race.
