Felix Owusu-Adjapong

Felix Kwasi Owusu-Adjapong (born February 13, 1944 ) is a politician and lawyer in Ghana . In the government of John Agyekum Kufuor he was Minister for Parliamentary Affairs from April 2003 to July 31, 2007 . He voluntarily resigned from this position in order to be a candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2008 presidential election.

Owusu-Agjapong studied at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology ( Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology ) in Kumasi . In 1970 he completed his studies with a degree in land economy and moved to the Boucetrum Institute in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Here he completed his studies with a diploma in construction, planning and building technology (Housing, Planning and Building). He undertook further studies in Great Britain at the University of Reading, from which he graduated with a Masters in Urban Land Appraisal. Back in Ghana he attended the Ghana Law School in Accrawith a degree in law. Between January 1977 and March 1977 he attended the second course in planning and management at the Ghana Institute for Management and Public Administration in Achimota, Accra.

Career

Owusu-Adjapong has entered the parliament of Ghana for the constituency Akyem Swedru.

In February 2001, he became Minister of Transport and Communications in the first term of President John Agyekum Kufuor . Between 2002 and March 2003 he was Minister of Communications and Technology and between April 2003 and July 31, 2007 he was Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, now during President Kufuor's second and final term. On July 31, 2007, he voluntarily resigned from office in order to be available as a presidential candidate of his party NPP. Abraham Osei Aidoo was succeeded in office in the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs .
