Ormaig rock carvings

The Ormaig rock carvings are above the Ormaig farmhouse, at Ormaig Wood, at Carnasserie Castle in Kilmartin Glen in Argyll and Bute , Scotland .

The carvings are on four rocks that are decorated with around 200 symbols. The carvings range from simple bowls ( English cups ) on cup-and-ring marks to complex "rosettes" patterns, the additional cups integrate into the rings. Because of their relative isolation, the carvings are not fenced and provide an opportunity for a close inspection of one of the best rock art sites in the country.
