Fennistik
The Finno is a philology , which deals with the language, culture and literature of Finland and often (in the narrow sense) Estonia busy (broadly defined). Fennistik is a sub-area of several of the Finno-Ugric studies . Since Finland is bilingual with Finnish and Swedish , students of Fen Studies always learn Swedish as well. This and the geographical proximity of Scandinavia are reasons for the close relationship between Scandinavian and Fennistic studies.
Fen Studies is offered as an independent bachelor's degree at the Universities of Greifswald and Vienna . At the University of Cologne , Fen Studies is a selectable focus of the Bachelor course Scandinavian Studies / Fen Studies and at the Universities of Hamburg , Göttingen and Munich it is part of the Bachelor / Master course Finno-Ugric Studies. There are master's programs in fencing at the universities of Greifswald and Cologne .
