Window viewer
In German, window gazer generally refers to a person who keeps staring out of the window. Special meanings:
- in Japan an employee who cannot be terminated but has been deprived of his duties, see window gazer (Japan)
- in Austria the plastic self-portrait of the master of the pulpit of St. Stephen's Cathedral was traditionally attributed to

- in Vienna's inner city formerly short for café “Zum Fenstergucker” (originally: Café Scheidl ), a coffee house opened at Walfischgasse 1 at the end of the 1880s that was sought after as a literary café (including the regular café of Theodor Herzl ) and (with the exception from 1920–32) until 1945 as a coffee house business
