The Ferdinand brewery is located in the Czech town of Benešov (German: Beneschau ) south of Prague . It has an annual production of around 50,000 hectoliters. The brewery also has its own malt house .

history

The brewery is named after the Austrian Archduke and heir to the throne Franz Ferdinand . This moved it from Konopiště (German: Konopischt ) there in 1897 . By the outbreak of the First World War , the brewery had already achieved an output of 50,000 to 60,000 hl. In the interwar period, the output could be increased significantly, in 1944 120,000 hl were brewed. In 1956 the brewery was nationalized.
