Fereydun Moschiri

Fereydun Moschiri ( ﻓﺮﻳﺪﻭﻥ ﻣﺸﻴﺮى), (* August 1926 in Tehran , Iran ; † October 24, 2000 ibid) was one of the most prominent Persian poets , who wrote Persian poems in both modern and classical styles.

Life

Moschiri wrote poems during his school days, some of which were published in magazines. He studied newspaper science and became a civil servant. In addition to his later work as a literary journalist , he continued to write poems that were collected in his first volume of poetry Teschne-ye Tufan in 1955 . A year earlier he married the art student Eghbal Achawan, with whom he had two children. Other important works appeared in 1962 and 1967, which were primarily focused on the aspect of social justice and humanitarian issues.

His poems are now among the most popular in modern literature in the Persian-speaking world.
