Fermi heaps

A Fermi cluster exists when two electrons with opposite spins are in the same place. The probability of this happening is twice as high as expected.

Because the overall wave function must be antisymmetric according to the Pauli principle and the spin component is antisymmetrical here, the spatial portion of the overall wave function must be symmetrical. So if you look at the limit, if the same coordinates are used for both electrons, the space portion doubles and the amplitude of the total wave function is twice as high as expected at this point.
