The Ferrocarril Industrial de Mendoza was a narrow-gauge railway with 750 mm gauge in the province of Mendoza in Argentina .
history
After the Ferrocarriles Buenos Aires al Pacifico had completed the Ramal a Eugenio Bustos small train , the residents of Tupungato wanted a similar feeder line from Tupungato to Zapata . The province then decided to build a narrow-gauge railway with a 750 mm gauge because it was cheaper than a broad-gauge railway. In Europe, 32 km of track were acquired, of which only 18 km were laid.
Halfway there was installed a water tank that had previously been used for the construction railway during the construction of General San Martín Park in Mendoza .
Operations began in 1924 with one train per day in each direction, but shortly afterwards it was reduced to three trains per week. Operations ceased in 1935, whereupon O&K acquired the remains.
