Fery is a male given name and a family name.

Origin and meaning of the name

The name is a diminutive of Ferdinand , from Gothic frith 'protection, security' and nanth ' boldness, audacity', roughly equivalent to 'bold protector'.

The name came to Spain with the Visigoths and in the 16th century with the Habsburgs in German-speaking countries and soon became popular there.
