Festival Maritime
The Festival Maritim is an international music festival in Bremen-Vegesack all about maritime music.
The event, for which no admission is charged, lasts three days and takes place on the first weekend in August in Vegesack along the “maritime mile” in the Vegesack city garden along the Weser and in the old town of Vegesack.
Since the beginning in 1999, the Festival Maritim has developed into one of the largest events of its kind in Europe. There are now 100,000 to 120,000 visitors a year. Over 30 music groups from different nations offer shanties , folk and chansons as well as rock and classical music .
