Banquet hall and wedding reception

A function hall (or reception hall or banquet hall) is a special version of a ballroom, i.e. a room or building that is used for the purposes of hosting a party, wedding, banquet or other celebration or social event. Function halls can often be found in pubs, clubs, hotels or restaurants. Most of the halls are run by associations and rented out as a donation campaign. The first recorded mention of "functional rooms" is from 1922.
