The Fortress Mosque ( Albanian  Xhamia e Kalasë ), or Fort Mosque called, is one in ruins lying mosque in the northern Albanian town of Lezha . It is a national cultural monument.

The mosque is located inside the castle that towers over the city. The castle hill ( 172  m above sea level ) was built in ancient times in the 6th century BC. Fortified and later to the acropolis of  the city. From 1393 the Venetians used  the castle. After the Ottomans  Lezha had conquered in 1478, the citadel was in the 16th century under I. Sultan Süleyman  - to - the Magnificent citadel expanded. The mosque also dates from this time, probably in 1522.

It was an almost square building with a dome, of which most of the outer walls have been preserved. The size is nine by seven and a half meters. The mihrab  is about three and a half meters high.
