Fire Brigade Merit Cross (Bavaria)

The Fire Brigade Merit Cross was donated on February 25, 1901 by Prince Regent Luitpold of Bavaria for many years of service and services to fire extinguishing in the Kingdom of Bavaria .

The gilded cross shows the raised, left-facing bust of the donor in the oval central shield . The inscription LUITPOLD PRINZRENT V. BAYERN with the year 1901 all around in a light blue enameled ring . On the reverse the inscription FOR FIRE DEPARTMENT MERIT .

The award was worn on a sky-blue ribbon with six white stripes on the left chest.
