Fiata warehouse receipt

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The FIATA Warehouse Receipt ( FWR ) is the World Association of Freight Forwarders FIATA ( International Federation of Associations de Transit et Aires assimilés ; translated: International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations) developed warehouse receipt , which the shipper as in his capacity storekeeper issues. It is a standard document intended mainly for international use. The FWR is not an order warehouse receipt , but can be used for all warehouse transactions.

The right to surrender, the transfer of ownership and the legitimation for the receipt of the goods by submitting the warehouse receipt with precise formulations can only be transferred by a declaration of assignment by the depositor.

In international trade, the FWR is used as a tradable document. This is easier to transport than the goods themselves.
