Ficha Médica de Aptitud Deportiva

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ficha Médica de Aptitud Deportiva refers to a certificate of fitness for sport issued in Uruguay .

In Uruguay, it is required that any person who wishes to be active in both competitive and non-competitive sports within public or private organizations must undergo a prior fitness test. This was introduced in 1939 only for participants who were active in sporting competitions. It was later expanded to include those who want to work in clubs, schools, the CNEF sports facilities, etc. The underlying general medical examination is carried out in the sports medicine centers ( Centro Médico Deportivo ), but in some cases, if available, it can also be carried out by the medical department of the larger Montevidean clubs. If the result of the examination is satisfactory, the certificate of fitness for sport will be issued for a period of one year.
